Digital drawing can seem like an easier version of traditional sketching. A graphics tablet looks like a magic sheet of paper that removes all your mistakes.
To draw digitally, you need two things, a computer with special software installed and a drawing tool. In theory, you could draw in Microsoft Paint using a mouse, but this setup is far from ideal. It's like drawing in sand with a huge, heavy stone. You can do it, but it's not worth the effort.

To draw on your computer in a natural way, you need a graphics tablet. A graphics tablet consists of two equally important parts, a drawing surface and a pen.
The pen works like a mouse, except you can hold it like a real drawing tool. It also registers how strongly you press the surface.
The drawing surface pretends to be a copy of your screen. When you move the pen over it, the cursor you can see on your screen will move as well.
How To Create Pixel Art
In the past, there was no professional software ed for digital art. This situation has changed. Today, we have a variety of programs: some very expensive, some cheaper, some even free. Usually, the more options a program gives to you, the more expensive it is.
But as a beginner, you don't need most of these options. In fact, for digital drawing, you'll only need a program that will recognize your tablet and the pressure of its pen. I will present to you a few programs often used by digital artists. Before you decide which to use, you can download a trial or demo version of any of them.
